Who doesn’t want to be a Superhero?

Introducing the Genesys RPG Character Sheets for official use with the SUPERS Rules Supplement by Chris Markham. Both a PRINT version and a fully FORM-FILLABLE/DICE-CALCULATING version are available!

Using ONLY Adobe Acrobat Reader free software, these sheets allow you to create your very own Superhero comic-book style Character Sheet, using any hero image file you fancy! Just make sure the image has a transparent background (see below for instructions).

This product contains 2 versions of the sheet, with each version having a Male and Female hero template you can draw your hero on — in case you can’t find an existing image you’d like to use.

Version 1: Print Version

Open any of two Print versions (male or female) and follow these steps:

1. Click on the Hero Name field and type in your hero character’s name.
   
2. Click on the Select Hero Image button at the bottom of the first page and select an image file with a transparent background. Supported file types: GIF, or transparent PDF (Recommended). In order to convert other image formats (such as a PNG file) into a transparent PDF you can use free online tools such as www.zamzar.com/convert/png-to-pdf/ — just search Google for “Convert PNG to transparent PDF” and you’ll find several free options.
3. Print out both pages of the document and fill everything else by hand.

Version 2 – Form Fillable and Dice Auto-calculating sheet

Open any of two Form-fillable versions (male or female) and follow these steps:

1. Same exactly as step 1 for the Print version above.
2. Same exactly as step 2 for the Print version above.
3. Fill in the rest of the sheet as you see fit. Dice for skills will be calculated and displayed once you click out of the appropriate field (Characteristic or Skill Rank).

Important tips for using the auto-calculating sheet:

1. You must use Adobe Acrobat Reader (or Pro) software as some of the automatic calculations will not work on other PDF readers.
2. In Adobe Acrobat Reader, go to Edit -> Preferences and locate the Forms category. Uncheck the “Show border hover color for fields” checkbox and click OK. This will remove the blue color from all the form fields and make it much easier to use this sheet.
   
3. When typing text in most free-text fields (such as Talent descriptions, Weapon special qualities, Powers, etc,), click CTRL+E (or CMD+E on mac) to open the Font Style toolbar (also called Form Field Text Properties toolbar). This will allow you to change the font family, size and color for your entered text. This is especially helpful for typing in dice symbols, even though I have prepared a string of dice on each page so you can copy and paste from that in ease. Note that sometimes after pasting text, Acrobat will change the font family or color – Use the Font Style toolbar (CTRL+E) to change back to your desired font and color.
   
4. When you copy text from other sources (e.g. Talent descriptions from the official PDFs) and paste in this document, it will usually paste the text with all of the styling (font, size, etc.) of the original source. In order to avoid that, I recommend first copying the text into notepad, editing it to your liking, and then copy the text from notepad to this document.
5. Save often and save backups.
